The U.S. restored sanctions against Iran on Monday, directing the U.S. Treasury to place penalties on more than 700 Iranian and Iranian-linked individuals, aircraft and vessels.

“Rest assured, Iran will never get close to obtaining a nuclear weapon under President Trump’s watch,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.
